The sands on the coastline of Lake Michigan are just as soft and fine as those on Kaui and Cozumel. The tidal forces of this mere lake are as strong as any good ocean beach. And the grasses fight against the wind and the waves, encroaching season after season. Water and grass in an endless struggle to dominate the turf.

Mmm I love this shot. I miss that lake terribly. There are so many people who've never seen it that just can't understand the impressiveness of Lake Michigan. It's a beautiful body of water. Excellent capture. The colors are so clean and crisp. Makes me long to be back up north.
