Am i bothered?
Thanks for your +fav on Go! That was fast... ;)
What a groovy close-up shot. The pieces you've shot almost look like different materials, though I imagine they're both glass of a type (?). I like how they contrast not only in color, but also how one set has shine and slight swirls, and the other a dull buff and solid color. Far cry from my old plastic red and black checker pieces.

 Being the uncultured heathen that I am, I first heard about this game through a friend of mine. He was describing to me a comic wherein the game of Go is played...in an extremely dramatic manner. The idea amuses us both.

Oooo. Are those real slate and shell stones? I really rather like that they're sort of scattered around, rather than resting on the points. And the shadows, they just look so nice (because they're about the same size as the stones perhaps?). Very nice!
Yep, these are a shell and slate set on a nice 3cm board. Nicer than my own set, which is merely glass and slate. I took some shots with them in "believable" shape, but preferred the random layout better-- nobody nitpicks the joseki. ;)
