Description
This is an experiment I did this afternoon, whereby I tried to emulate the look of a Japanese Sumi-e (ink drawing) media. Usually, sumi-e are landscapes or nature details such as birds, fish or flowers. For this one, though, I adapted a basic pose from an antique Japanese Ukiyo-e woodblock print of a lady. I liked the idea that a very ornate kimono could be described with only a few strokes of an ink brush.
This was done in Inkscape and the GIMP, and the original is more like 4000x5000. If the brush strokes looked a little better, I'd do a print version of it.
